10 Warning Signs You're Losing Your Party Girl Edge

I've recently been noticing that my nights out haven't been as crazy  as they once were. So I thought of a few things which I sometimes do on a night which just kills the vibe and decided to make a list of them all for you! They may not relate to everyones night but a think a few will catch you out.

1. Bringing out a clutch bag.

There are some nights out where if something isn't physically attached to my body, i will loose it. Or you might prefer say "someone stole it" but you can't remember. These are the nights when a clutch bag is your worse nightmare, you have to hold that thing all night when you just wanna fist pump and show off your moves. The older you get the less crazy unmemorable nights you will have, so a clutch can show a sign that you're taking it easy tonight.

2. Chipped nails? Who cares no one will see them

Girl even if no one can see your nails in the darkness of the club, you need to have you style game up to the top on a night out. Chipped nails shows that you couldn't be bothered with your outfit or look for the night, when you used to spend at least 3 hours getting ready you now only spend 1....maximum.

3. Bringing spare flats

Being organised is a great thing when it comes to work and your life, but you're not heading out to camp! Bringing flats doesn't only weigh down your bag (especially if its a clutch) but also knowing they're in there will make you give up on your heels very quickly, and you'll be left lugging them around the dance floor complaining.

4. Planning what time to be home

When you start planning out when to end the fun on a night, you won't have much. You will constantly look at your phone and count down until you can get your cheesy chips. If you have something important to do the next day then maybe skip the night. What if when it comes time to leave suddenly something amazing happens? The best nights are the spontaneous ones. Maybe you'll get home or maybe you'll end up on the other side of the country, who knows?

5. Actually making it to work/uni the next day

It takes a lot of willpower to drag yourself out of bed after a night out especially if all you have to look forward to is a class. If you can make it up nice and early and attend your lectures without dozing off or having to run to the bathroom with your hand over your mouth, then you haven't partied to your hearts content and similar to the planning what time to get home, you clock watch.

6. Taking your makeup off before you sleep

Somehow I always make sure to drag a wet wipe over my face and get my makeup off and if I'm incapable, i make my boyfriend do it. You know what they say, each night you sleep with makeup you age a day! But if you've truly gone wild and let loose then cleaning your face is the last thing on your mind, being overtaken by food and sleep.

7. Stopping before being told to stop.

No one likes a crazy drunk bitch throwing up all over the floor, but most of the time your friends see the signs before you get too gone and make you stop. But choosing to stop out of your own free will, thats a taking it easy. The perfect drunk equation is the tipsy + I can don't care attitude but not   throwing up and crying.

8. Not taking a million selfies before

You know you look your best just before hitting the clubs, I mean you did just spend 3 hours getting ready and making your makeup look on point. Honestly where else can you get away with extremely dark and sparkly makeup? If you don't take selfies before a night out then you're seriously missing out.

9. Looking at a drinks list to order instead of just your usual vodka mixer

When you're in a club there is no time to be faffing around with cocktails, firstly you have to fight your way through the crowds to get to the bar and then scream your order at the bartender at least 3 times over the music. You want your order to been as simple and as strong as possible and you usually buy it in 2's so you don't have to go back to the bar for a while.

10. Cleaning away your things before crashing out.

My lowest of the low on a night out was when I returned home and  loaded the dishwasher, how I didn't smash anything I have no idea. But any type of cleaning or do anything but eating and sleeping when you get home is a MAJOR warning sign you're loosing your inner crazy party girl!

But don't worry girls, you can redeem your inner wild child days again and just let your hair down and go crazy. xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG!

It's my birthday it's my birthday I'm gonna party like its my birthday! I've officially had this blog for a year and I'm so pleased with what it's become. It's a little place that I have on the internet where I can chat to invisible people and hopefully make them happy for the time they read a post. I've learnt a lot about myself from doing this. Since the summer every time I return home to HK people have come up to me and mentioned my blog in some way, it honestly makes my day! It's something I love and if other people love it too then that's amazing :)

Here are a few of my favourite posts so far!

Considering that the date is New Years Eve, you can probably tell that this blog was my New Years resolution. I have never actually gone through with one of my resolutions before, normally by the end of January I just can't be bothered. But this year has inspired me to make more resolutions which I will try my hardest to follow. I used to create unrealistic or unhealthy goals which I wouldn't even start, my advice is the create resolutions that you want to do. Don't say you're going to stop drinking coffee when you can't function first thing in the morning without it. Make it doable!

Unpopular opinion alert: I don't like New Years Eve. I say it all year but as soon as it gets past Christmas I make it another day to look forward to because you might as well be festive for as long as you can! But I'm always disappointed, you're pressured to get drunk and party your way into the New Year. When I drink there's a 70% chance I will cry and have a mental breakdown just because I'm THAT drunk girl. Thats a very bad way to start a nice new clean fresh year, and to make it worse you wake up puking everywhere the next day.... not a very inspiring start to the year. So I just want you guys to know you don't have to pressure yourself to have the best night ever and start the new year off great.

My resolution this year is to be happy with myself. It's so hard not to overthink your life, there's so much pressured to have fun, get a good job, experience the world. Just focus on you. I get my happiness from people around me, this year I'm focusing on getting my happiness from me.

Thank you for a years worth of support and I hope next year brings you lots of happiness xxxxx

3 Party Outfits For The Holiday Season

December is a month of parties, dinners and a whole lot of fun. Don't let the cold weather ruin your sparkly spirits!  It's time to get your glad rags on ;)

Here are a few ideas for some festive outfits you can wear for christmas eve, new year or everyday in-between. I've chosen 3 very different outfits as I know everyone has different styles and clothing preferences, I hope this can help you decide what to wear for your christmas and new year.

A Pop Of Colour

I am very guilty of grabbing every black piece of clothing I own and wearing them all winter long, with this outfit you can. Just make sure your accessories have a perfect pop of colour and if your feeling really christmasy add a little sparkle in there too.

Skirt: Forever 21, Shirt: New Look, Necklace: Monsoon, Clutch: Forever 21, Shoes: Steve Madden

I am so in love with this skirt, It's not usually a length I would wear but the sheer floaty over skirt makes it very girly and classy. This skirt would be perfect for anyone who is a little more pear shaped as it is extremely flattering and the floatyness hides any sneaky muffin top.

Statement necklaces are everywhere at the moment, they add a touch of fancy to any simple shirt or even jumper.

This bag is just so cute that I couldn't resist not featuring it on the blog! You can use any clutch just as long as it's not black to stand out against your outfit. I personally love the black and pink combination but it would also looks lovely with a gold or silver one.

The perfect shoes can complete any outfit. I've had these for about 3 years but they alway make an appearance in the festive season because it's the only time of year you can get away with an excessive amount of glitter!

Let it Sparkle

Jacket: Cotton On, Top: Forever 21, Shorts: Forever 21, Boots: Steve Madden, Bag: Market.

Told you that I loved glitter! If you can remember way back to my first ever post "New Years Get Ready With me" You'll recognize this shirt ;) This outfit is so simple yet the sparkly top makes it so much more dressy. The best advice I can give you for wearing a sequin top or skirt is to keep the rest of the outfit plain otherwise it will be just too much. This outfit would be perfect for a night out in the holiday season.

Since the top is such a statement in itself, I kept the accessories rather simple and just added bag to throw over my shoulder. A necklace would just get lost amongst all the glitter but if you did want to add a little more bling then a few bracelets or rings.

I've dressed it down by wearing boots but you can pair it with some heels or flats to give it a more formal look. Boots and shorts go together so well because they really flatter your legs.

Keep It Christmasy

Jacket: H&M, Playsuit: Zara, Necklaces: Forever 21, Tights: Forever 21, Shoes: Forever 21

This outfit is a little more christmasy with the festive red tights and a nice woolly jacket. The red tights add also add a pop of colour to what would have been a very black outfit. Not only does the jacket keep you nice a warm, but it also adds a cute touch to a fancy outfit.

Layering necklaces also gives you a statement necklace, the gold goes beautifully against the black and white and it doesn't clash with the red because they are both Christmas colours.

I decided on a gold clutch to go with this outfit because it matches the necklace, you could also choose a red, white or black bag to match.

Although flat shoes arn't usually my first choice for party wear, I thought these were an exception as they look so elegant that the fact they're not heels isn't too noticeable from the front. They also stand out beautifully against the red tights.

Which outfit do you like the best and what will you be wearing this holiday season? Have a very Merry Christmas everyone xx

New Years Outfit

New years eve is the perfect excuse to dress up in a new outfit, get a manicure and go all out. Whether you’re going on a night out, going for dinner or staying in with family and friends, why not start the year off looking and feeling fantastic?

In this post I’ll show you how I got ready for my night, in a series of photos and commentary.

Outfit

I decided to wear a sequin top and high wasted black skirt both from Forever 21,
because I thought it gave off a classy impression. The skirt simplifies the outfit, while the top glamorises the outfit, making this pair the perfect combination.

The royal blue colour of the sequins is what attracted me to this top; it is such a elegant colour which has been appearing in many stores this season. Although the front is a very modest cut, the back stoops low and creates a classy showing of skin.

Make up

Wearing a beautiful out fit gives you the perfect reason to use your finest and favorite makeup for the evening.

This Benefit Flawless Complexion Kit has been a life saver for me on many occasions, so it is only right to use it for new years. This kit contains a miniature tube of The Pore Fessional, Hello Flawless foundation, Boi-ing concealer in shades 02 and 03 (personally I prefer just using shade 02 as it matches my skin far better ) and "I'm cute as a bunny" Honey face powder.

Other make up I used to create my look include a mixture of high end and drug store brands, which are listed below.

Left to right: MAC Fabulousness/5 Neutral Eyes Pallet, Benefit dandelion Blush, H&M Seduced by Sydney Eyeshadow, MAC Frost Lipstick Fresh Moroccan, GOSH Eyeshadow brush, Benefit Watt's Up! Highlighter, MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara, Maybelline BROW drama Brow Mascara, Chanel Travel Kabuki Brush, Collection 2000 Extreme 24 hour Felt Tip Liner, GOSH Silky Rose Cream Blusher and Sally Hansen Gingembre Cream Blush.

(Personally I beleive if you lightly layer different shades of blush, you can create a more natural glowing look)

Extras

To complete my look, I wore black tights paired with black flats (walking around crowed streets in heels is just a no go!). For my hair I just created a simple high ponytail look by straightening my hair and then tying it up and pinning my fringe to the side.

Final Look

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope 2014 is your year, you deserve it xx
