Outfit Of The Month | Casual January

New year, new blog ideas. This is the first in a series of outfits i'll be featuring every month of the year. These outfits are certain pieces i've noticed myself wearing a lot put together to represent the whole vibe of the month.

January|

January is a pretty depressing month, festive fun is over, you've probably gained a little more over christmas then you planned and it's cold af. When I had to crawl out of bed and actually venture into the outside world every now and again I just wanted to be as comfy as possible.I'm not a big colour person in general but especially when i'm not feeling my best colour is not a option.

The 10 Hangover Commandments

I'm sure everyone agrees with me when I say hangovers are quite possibly the worst feeling. Especially a hangover with regrets. But going out is fun and regrets are forgotten after a week, so hangovers are the punishment we have to suffer for being 1 shot to turnt up. But to make your fragile hungover live a little easier i've become the God of drunk bitches and written a list of the commandments everyone in your squad should follow.

1. One must not be disturbed from their slumber

2. One must not brag about 'feeling fresh' when fellow associates are not

3. One must delete all inappropriate pictures of associates from their snapchat story

4. One must keep noise to a minimum when throwing up

5. One must ask fellow associates if they want take-out before ordering

6. One must gain permission from all associates before instagraming a risky photo

7. If a fellow associate wants a cuddle one must always give in to cuddles

8. The most 'fresh' of the group must take over cleaning duties from the previous night

9. One must only discuss previous events after 5pm

10. One must never judge their fellow associates actions from the previous night

Organisation Porn

Nothing excites me quiet like a cute notebook.......okay I'm being dramatic it's not that amazing, but anything's good that makes me want to pick up a pen and get my creative juices flowing after a December of pretty much doing nothing. So here is some cute inspiration organisation to get you in the working mood (at least a little bit).

Lists/ weekly planners

There is something so satisfying about ticking or crossing things off a list, it's like the action equivalent of wiping that thing out of your brain. There's no point making lists if you're not going to actually follow them though otherwise it'll just make you feel even worse about your life being a stressful mess.

Multiple Notebooks

In your head everything is already muddled and overlapping constantly, don't make it worse by having one notebook for everything where you can't actually find what you need. Separate notebooks for separate thoughts/projects. But no one is saying they can't all be colour co-ordaniated...

Productive Playlists

I can't remember a time where I didn't work to music, nor would I want to remember those dark days. It can be pretty hard choosing the right music because if I club jam comes on I just wanna start dancing and if an overly emotional song comes on i'll start crying. You got to find the perfect mix to inspire you. If you want to have a nosy at my playlist follow me on Spotify at nicoleeeslater - yes I'm advertising myself because yolo.

Pointless (but cute) Accessories

Although they are a little pointless at times because really how many sticky notes, files and tag pegs do you really need? But that doesn't stop them from being cute and from me buying them. These tag pegs really help sort out all those random bits of paper laying around you room... (I know you know what I'm talking about) and they make your desk just that much more adorable. £2 from Tiger.

I hope this post makes you the tiniest bit inspired to actually do something with your life... because i'll be the first to admit I haven't wanted to even get out of bed this January. xx
