Confessions Of A Drunk Girl | Drunk Texting

Do you ever wake up after a night out and for a second you're a little confused and disoriented before your memories from the night hit you and you get that horrible stomach sinking feeling?

I've stopped bringing my phone with me on most nights-out unless it's a matter of life or death. Everyone has their unique drunk quirks, mine just happens to be sharing my thought process at that moment in time with some select people in my contacts. But pretty much everyone does it at some point in their lives, some more than others.... Here are a few of my "favourites".

The "Are you out?" Text

I'm wanting to know whether to look out for you or to avoid you if you reply with yes....lucky you will never know which one I'm going to do though! or I'm wondering if you're drunk right now so I don't have to worry about embarrassing myself completely when I continue to drunk message you.

The "I know it's 3am but I REALLY need your help" Text.

Asking advice from your friends who aren't out. Firstly I'd like to say sorry, and secondly I may sound like I need this advice desperately but about a second after sending you the message i'm asking some random drunk girl in the bathroom,(she really knows what she's talking about)

The "I hate you" Text

This is most likely because you've pissed me off recently but because I hate confrontation I pretend everything's all sunshine and rainbows. But if you've annoyed me so much that you ruin my night....then you probably deserve it #sorryimnotsorry

The "Lets hang out" Text

Usually this is after you've seen a long lost friend on your night or they've liked your pre night-out selfie. When they except your offer in the morning, you have to come up with a pretty good excuse to bail... a crazy hangover is always a good one.

The "Drunk damage control" Text

After waking up and realising what you've done, you attempt to make things better again. Without taking into consideration the fact that you've only had 2 hours sleep and are pretty much the same drunk mess you were before. Just leave it, nothing says I'm sorry like pretending nothing happened!

The "I love you"/ "I miss you" Text

I saved the worst till last, this text comes at the end of the night when you've had too much and are a bit on the hysterical side. Usually once you're home and feeling sorry for yourself because you're such a wreck. I will have completely forgotten about that message until the next morning when I wake up and look through my phone and want to bang my head against the wall. P.S never take this message seriously, I'm just drunk.

Happy texting, drunk bitches! xx
